Trunk, limb and canopy wrapping
Three levels of the same service, and the difference between them is what the property looks like from the road.
Trunk wrap
Lights run up the trunk to the first main limbs. Strong vertical rhythm, the most economical per tree, and effective in rows along a drive or a parking island where repetition does the work.
Limb wrap
Continues from the trunk out along the main structural limbs. The tree keeps its shape after dark instead of becoming a lit pole, and it is the most common specification on plaza and entrance trees.
Canopy wrap
Carries into the smaller branches so the crown fills with light. Much more material and labour, so it costs more per tree, but it is what people photograph.

Tree health
Wrapping without damaging the tree
This is the objection worth answering directly, because most property managers have seen it done badly.
Trees are living structures that move, thicken and flex. Lighting that is cinched tight, fastened with wire, or left in place year after year eventually restricts growth, and the tree grows around it. That is the damage people have seen, and it is entirely avoidable.
We wrap with slack. Nothing is pulled tight around a trunk or limb, nothing is stapled or nailed into bark, and no fastener is left in the wood. The wrap holds by its own path around the limb rather than by tension.
Removal matters as much as installation. Everything comes off in January, before spring growth begins, and it comes off by unwinding rather than pulling. A crew in a hurry can strip bark on removal, which is why takedown is scheduled work rather than an afterthought.
If you have trees carrying old lighting from a previous vendor, tell us during the walk. Removing it correctly is worth doing even if you do not wrap those trees this season.

Pricing
How wrapping is quoted
Per tree, by size and wrap density. A quote lists the trees and what each one costs, which means the scope can move without the design falling apart: wrap the entrance drive fully and the back parking islands at trunk level, and the property still reads as one scheme.
The variables are trunk diameter, canopy spread, the wrap level you choose and whether the tree needs a lift. A row of small ornamentals near a walkway is straightforward. A mature live oak wrapped through the canopy is a day's work on its own.
We quote after walking the property. A per-tree figure given over the phone, before anyone has counted the trees or seen their size, is a figure that changes.

Install
Crews wrap trunk first, then limbs to the agreed height, keeping spacing consistent so the property reads as one scheme.
In-season checks
We check sections through the season, including after wind and storms, which is when landscape lighting takes its damage.
Removal
Lights come off in January, carefully, so nothing is left cutting into bark as the tree resumes growth in spring.

Tree health, technique and pricing
Does wrapping damage the tree?
Not when it is done correctly and removed on time. We wrap without cinching, leave room for the trunk and limbs to move, and use no fasteners that cut into bark. The damage people have seen usually comes from lights left on a tree year after year, which the wood eventually grows around. Ours come off every January.
What is the difference between trunk wrap and canopy wrap?
Trunk wrap runs lights up the trunk and the main structural limbs, which gives a strong vertical line and is the more economical option. Canopy wrap continues into the smaller branches, filling the crown with light. Canopy wrap uses considerably more material and labour, so it costs more per tree, but at night it reads as a lit tree rather than a lit trunk.
How is tree wrapping priced?
Per tree, by size and wrap density. A small ornamental tree wrapped to the first limbs is a very different job from a mature live oak wrapped through the canopy from a lift. Quoting per tree also means you can scale the scope up or down without redesigning the whole property.
How long does it stay lit and how long does it last?
The installation runs for the season, typically lit from late November through early January, and is removed in January. Because we own and maintain the materials, failed sections are replaced from our stock during the season rather than being your problem.
Will you wrap trees you did not light previously?
Yes. Taking over a property lit by someone else is common, and we do not require you to start from scratch. We will walk the site, assess how the previous installation was done, and flag anything that has been left on the trees too long.
Can you wrap trees while the property stays open?
Yes. Most of the properties we wrap are retail centres, hotels and campuses that never close. We schedule around trading hours, keep walkways and parking rows open, and work in sections rather than closing large areas at once.
